DNS Set Up

NOTE: Before we can schedule the deployment of a Streaming platform license, client must confirm DNS set up

Options and timelines are detailed below:

Option A. Standard DNS set up process

1. Edit your domain whois information at your registrar and point the domain to the following nameservers:

• ns1.gobyt.net
• ns2.gobyt.net

Timeline: After client updates DNS, DNS will need up to 24 hours to propagate

Option B: Custom DNS

We can also offer custom DNS servers for $2 per IP/month with minimum of 2 IP’s required. The DNS will show for example this name servers:

• ns1.customerdomain.com
• ns2.customerdomain.com

Instead of our domain servers ns1.gobyt.net and ns2.gobyt.net

Steps:

1. An invoice will be issued and payment must be confirmed. Future custom IPs costs will add to client’s monthly invoice

2. Servers Team configures custom DNS and then provides the IPs.

3. Point the DNS/IP of the domain from the registrant account (where domain was purchased) to the customized nameservers.

4. If the domain has not yet propagated, please wait 24 hours and try again. If the nameservers are still not pointing please contact us via the support ticket system and outline your issues.

Option C: Deploy license to one of our domains, then move to client’s domain

Steps:

1. Client must confirm DNS (option A or B)

After client updates DNS, DNS will need up to 24 hours to propagate

2. Move license for Streaming platform domain to client domain

Timeline: 1-2 business days
