The butt (aka as broadcast using this tool) is an easy to use, multi OS streaming tool. It supports ShoutCast and Icecast and runs on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. The main purpose of butt is to stream live audio data from your computers Mic or Line input to TikILIVE
First you will need to download the installer from the following URL: https://danielnoethen.de/
After you have downloaded the application, install it and use the on-screen installation guide.
After the application is installed start it:
Click on Settings icon to start adjusting the stream settings:
1. Click here to add a new server
2. Click here to open the settings where you can add stream info details
3. Click here to save the changes
Below you can see how to add the server details in order to prepare for the Radio Live stream that will be done on TikiLIVE platform:
1. Enter here the name of the server – this is just used for your references to know which server you should select if you have multiple servers
2. Select the Shoutcast type for the server
3. Enter here the address of the radio server – this is the Radio Hostname from Broadcasting Settings page
4. Enter here the port for the radio streaming server – this is the DJ port from Broadcasting Settings page
5. Enter here the DJ username and DJ password on the format username:password
Note: the DJ credentials are the ones you insert when you create a new radio channel. The username and password can contain only letters, numbers and dashes (a-z/A-Z/0-9 -).
6. Click here to save the server details
After the server is added you can add server info, details that are optional:
1. Enter here the name of the radio server
2. Enter here the description of the radio server
3. Enter here the genre of the radio server
4. Enter here the URL of the radio server
5. Click here to save the details of the radio server
After the server details are added you can select the audio input that will be used to stream on the radio station from the drop-down menu:
Once all settings are saved you need to click on Play button in order to start the stream on the radio station:
1. Click here to start streaming on the radio channel
2. Click here to stop streaming on the radio channel
